My Skills and Competencies as a Tech Savvy Individual
As a part of today’s generation, where technology is becoming the primary source of information, entertainment, and even jobs. I utilize it as one of my venues to disseminate reliable information to the public. However, one thing I always remember is to verify facts before sharing them. You might wonder, why is technology so essential? Mainly because it encompasses a complex set of uses. It’s been a big part of communication. You might wonder, what have I learned using mobile phones and other technologies?
One of the first things I learned when I was young was how to make and send messages via Messenger and text. This has been beneficial to me as a person since it bridges the distance between me and my loved ones. It also gives security because I can message them from anywhere at any moment during an emergency.
Furthermore, we are all aware that most educational activities in modern times need the use of mobile phones and laptops. Growing up as a student, one of the most important skills I learned was how to use word processors like Microsoft Word and Google Docs. Microsoft Word has been a valuable tool for me in writing essays, projects, and stories since it allows me to easily edit, create, and manipulate my words. Digital presentations, like PowerPoint, also lessen my burden in presenting reports.
The Internet has made information widely accessible; the public is easily influenced by certain news, topics, and so on. That is why it is critical to have digital research skills, as you are not readily convinced by particular topics. The research skills I acquired in school have been helpful, as I now know how to distinguish reliable sources from fake ones. I learned the right keywords and phrases to find fast, accurate information.
Speaking about public information, the greatest method to preserve our online security and identity is to secure our passwords, understand cybersecurity principles, and safeguard personal information. These are the precautions I take to protect the safety and security of my online environment. Being mysterious in the online world is safer than exposing my identity. Stephane Nappo once stated, "It takes 20 years to build a reputation and a few minutes of a cyber-incident to ruin it."
