Exploring the Uses of IT and How Does It Affect Me?

              When I was a kid, my parents flew abroad for work. I used to cry a lot because of the separation anxiety. It saddened me that the distance between us was immeasurable; I could not hold them easily, and I could not hear their voice randomly. However, due to the invention of technology, the million distances between us seemed to be nothing at all. It's been easy for us to communicate through software applications such as Facebook and Messenger. As the daughter of an OFW worker, I know that technology has greatly impacted our lives in a good way. It makes our communication easy and efficient.

Moreover, as a student who is required to acquire new knowledge regarding certain topics about school or even about the world, technology helps us immensely. It helps us solve problems by utilizing good resources such as online journals, online books, and reliable research. During the thesis, looking for credible online sources has been quite easy due to technology.

Back during the pandemic, people were bored. We're not allowed to go outdoors and meet some companions. We're confined within our homes, nonetheless, via internet entertainment, television, radio, etc. It adds variety to our lives and alleviates boredom. I recall how difficult it had been to study back then. The modular instructions and lessons are insufficient for us students to study and comprehend the lesson. During the pandemic, information technology is in high demand. As a student, I used online platforms to communicate with my teachers so that I could better understand the lecture. I used my mobile applications to research how to solve math issues in class. 

Today, technology influences our lives in both positive and negative ways. As we live in today's world, where technology is constantly growing, may we know how to use it properly May we not take advantage of its intelligence. As Christian Lous Lange stated, "Technology is a useful servant but a dangerous master." As a user of information technology, one thing I learned is that technological impacts are not always desirable. We must never forget that there is life beyond artificial intelligence.
